CITROFLEX is a highly safe plasticizer made from citric acid developed by Pfizer Inc. in the United States. The trade was succeeded by Morimura in 1999, and we have been manufacturing and releasing it in Japan until today.

CITROFLEX is a series of nontoxic citric acid esters and it is a clear, colorless liquid. CITROFLEX could be approved to use by FDA(U.S. Food and Drug Administration),and it has been used as a food ingredient, a pharmaceutical ingredient and a cosmetic ingredient in many countries of the world.

■CITROFLEX series
We have been handling three types of CITROFLEX.

① CITROFLEX 2
(chemical name : triethyl citrate)
Used for ingredients of food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Major application: solvent of fragrance, plasticizer for film coating agents in pharmaceuticals.

② CITROFLEX A-4
(chemical name : acetyl tributyl citrate)
Affordable citric acid esters. Easy to compound.
Major application: food wrapping film, plasticizer for gravure ink.

③ CITROFLEX A-2
(chemical name : acetyl triethyl citrate)
We are the only manufacturer on this product in Japan.
Recommend as a plasticizer for ethyl cellulose.
Major application: plasticizer for plastics for medical application and nail polish.
